The following is the standard DrupalGov speaker agreement. Your event may use different information, but should provide you with details.
By agreeing to present a session at DrupalGov you are confirming your understanding and acceptance of the rules and expectations outlined below. As a DrupalGov speaker, you are directly responsible for your session, its content, quality, and all deliverables.
There is no implied agreement to offer any compensation for your session. Some events may offer speaker tickets at a special rate or for free.
Your event reserves the right to revise or cancel any session on the schedule should registration, venue, equipment or other conditions dictate. Events will attempt to notify all involved speakers of any schedule modifications or cancellations as soon as possible, but are not liable for any costs incurred to you as a result of these changes.
If for any reason a speaker must cancel a session, that speaker must contact DrupalGov immediately so a substitute can be arranged.
Set up times
Because of the short turn-around times between sessions, speakers are asked to be on-time and ready to present at their allotted starting time.
What to bring
- Laptop, with session slides loaded (it doesn't hurt to bring a backup USB)
- Laptop power adaptor
- The appropriate power converter for international equipment
- A video cable adaptor as required (usually VGA)
- A slide advancer, if desired.
Venue usually provides
- A microphone and PA system
- Video projector (standard VGA, not widescreen)
DrupalGov sessions may be recorded for online publication after the event. By agreeing to present a session, speakers grant the event organiser the non-exclusive and royalty-free right, under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0, to use their name, voice, likeness, similar characteristics, and other public facts about the session (including the recording of the session) for the sole purpose of DrupalGov event promotion.
